Day two of library, and I managed to complete a to-do list and some of my work. SCORE!! But not to worry, I am back there after work ready to nail some serious to-dos. Also, Kim is back and I am muchos excited to see her lovely face!
Kim and I met at uni, and we became friends during class. She rang me one day in November telling about an amazing opportunity she had been given, and how she thought I would be able to get involved. During rundown to deadline, she started joining Luke and I at the library, and becoming a part of our procrastination. Here is one of my favourite resulting Facebook posts:
When we finished for Christmas, we had lunch together and I knew straight away that we would become good friends. I visited her at her parents’ home just before Christmas (her parents are just as nice as she is!) and we went for a casual dog-walk in the rain in our wellies and hat-scarf-gloves.
That was a mistake; I ended up falling flat on my side in the mud. Here’s the photo, I got pretty wet through.
Kim rang her dad to tell him, and it turns out he had stepped up to the bedroom window (which backs onto the field we were walking through) and he’d seen the whole thing. So we tottered back in fits of laughter.
Speaking of friends I’ve met on the course, here’s a picture of Luke, and evidence that I was on Facebook as opposed to doing my work. Pretty much the same thing he was doing (he also managed to download the satanic bible). I blame the fact that we didn’t have our usual ‘Pod’ room (photos to come of that when we manage to reclaim it).
Aaaand here’s a picture of me from today while I was waiting for Luke to arrive (who was, you guessed it, 30 minutes late!).
See you tomorrow!
